Science Bowl Competes in Regional Tourney at MIT

Per Liana Heldman, BHS Science Teacher

This past Saturday, the BHS Science Bowl teams competed in the regional tournament at MIT.

Team 2 (Pratyush Singh, Nick Chow, Daniel Nappi, and Ryan Liu) won five of six matches to advance out of the preliminary rounds before ultimately being eliminated by two very strong Lexington teams. Rishabh Sudakar trained with this team but couldn’t attend the tournament.

Team 1 (Niall Wang, Tori Banister, Sharanya Vaidianathan, Anjie Chen, and Alan Yang) won four of the six matches in their preliminary rounds, losing only to those Lexington teams.

Our rookie Team 3 (Kevin Lang, Jason Zhu, Sage Fleet, and Aanya Jain) won two matches in the preliminary rounds and gained confidence and experience.

Our teams were incredibly well prepared, thanks to practices led by our captain Niall Wang and, as we always expect of them, displayed great sportsmanship, supported each other, and had a lot of fun. They made me so proud!

If you see these Science Bowlers, please congratulate them on a fantastic showing and for representing Bedford well.
