Coming off of a rough previous year, the volleyball team is hoping to make strides in 2024, led by captains Shriya Raut and Jaslene Boodram. Teammates have already lauded Raut and Boodran as “vocal leaders” who give “great pep talks.” The team returns 10 upper classmen, two freshmen, and two sophomores, many of whom play club for coach Lisa Predaina in the offseason. Junior Sahana Krishnan noted the team’s strength is “balance,” and freshman Joliana Boodram pointed out their “communication for sets and coverage.” Freshman Frankie Molina pointed out that she was excited “to play” with varsity.
In addition to balance and communication, the team noted two upcoming games. Multiple players viewed their September 30 game against Arlington Catholic as a measuring stick of their progress this year. They also mentioned the October 22nd game against Groton-Dunstable at BHS as a great one for students and teachers to attend.
