On Saturday, 13 BHS students attended the MA State Science Olympiad Competition, held at Wentworth Institute of Technology. Teams from across the state competed in STEM events; some required a pre-built device while others tested the participants’ content knowledge and lab procedures. The team, led by captains Sophia Aloise and Tyler Munsie, represented BHS well.
Notably, Platon Gorkavy and Ariane Sweetland placed 8th in the state for the Boomilever event.
The remaining team members worked tirelessly in the days leading up to the event and should be proud of their results: Cassie Aloise, Verna Bowlan,Sage Fleet, Rafa Hsu, Dhara Kaushik, Veda Keny, Kevin Lang, Elizabeth Trant, and Jack Vance.
