History Fair Success at States, 4 Advance to Nationals

Various BHS Juniors from the class of 2026 have recently received outstanding awards for their entries in the Massachusetts History Fair. 7 talented students have received special prizes, and recognitions. Tori Banister received an award for Outstanding Project in Maritime History sponsored by The National Maritime Historical Society. Dhara Kaushik, Mary Bujalski, and Verna Bowlan received the Outstanding Project in Nature or Animal Rights award, sponsored by the Mass Audubon Society. November Sandler received the Outstanding Project in LGBTQ+ History award, sponsored by the Anna Clutterbuck-Cook Memorial. Abby Cutrona won the Outstanding Project in American History award sponsored by the History Day Founders Award. And finally, Niall Wang received an Honorable Mention for an Individual Documentary. BHS sends a huge congratulations to all of these students and their amazing hard work! 

Additionally, 4 lucky students have advanced to the National Finals this June! Matthew and Tommy Mahoney won first place in the group exhibit category, Anjie Chen winning first in the Individual exhibit, and Abby Cutrona winning 2nd place in the individual exhibit.
