Mrs. Irving
While Mrs. Irving spends her time at BHS teaching Geometry and Precalculus, many are unaware of her past job experience as a prison guard. She spent two years working on Rikers island, but eventually quit because she “couldn’t do math” with all of the prisoners around, and the job became too stressful for her with all of the threats to her wellbeing.
Mrs. Taub
Mrs. Taub, Spanish teacher at BHS recently revealed that she wasn’t always a Spanish teacher. In fact, she used to teach Russian at a Russian school in Boston, before eventually switching to Spanish because it is “so much easier”. While at first she mixed the two languages together because it was “hard to tell the difference,” she now is able to fully teach Spanish with little to no Russian coming out.
