The Girls Bedford Buccaneer basketball team is in the midst of a strong season. The team, led by four senior starters Bridget Sheehan, Cassie Morrison, and Tierney twins Madison and Mackenzie, along with standout freshman Ashley Cohen, is well balanced across all four grades.
This group was especially proud of their showing in the Christmas Tournament, where they ran the table and won, beating some quality opponents. Even the two losses, by 1 to Lincoln-Sudbury and by 5 to Concord-Carlisle, show this team’s resilience and ability to stay with anyone in the league.
Senior Cassie Morrison noted the team’s huddle break of “Bucs on three, Family on six!” as a strong representation of what they value—the team as a representation of the community, and it’s own special family. She also noted the inspirational quote of the day from Coach DeBenedictis as a community builder, and noted how “everyone on the team gets along.”
