During February break a group of BHS juniors and seniors set off to Costa Rica. On February 15th students landed in San Jose and embarked on the start of their vacation that lasted until the 24th. Ms.Leshay remarks the vacation was “amazing; everyone behaved very well.” During the trip students visited San José, Arenal, Monteverde, Coastal Puntarenas, and Manuel Antonio.
Everyone participated in a multitude of fun activities ranging from horseback riding in Monteverde to whitewater rafting. A group favorite was definitely the zip line tour. For those that aren’t as adventurous there were also activities such as a hot springs visit, beach time, planting your own tree, and a visit to the Sarchi craft village. They also got to enjoy some amazing wildlife with viewings of sloths, toads, and scarlet macaws. Costa Rica is a beautiful country with its many waterfalls, rainforests, beaches and wildlife.
Interested in a going on a school trip? Next February break, Mr. Olson and Ms. Billouin are leading juniors and seniors on a trip to the Dominican Republic.
